At Shaffer Elite Fitness, we think differently about Group Exercise. Say “Goodbye” to choreographed routines, overcrowded classes, and feeling like just another body in the room. Here, groups are limited in size, targeted to fit a specific training desire, and personalized to fit your needs. Check out the descriptions below and find one that excites you today!
How it works:
1) Groups are limited in size to 8 participants.
2) Sign ups are required and operate on a month-to-month basis.
3) Participants receive personalized coaching, group camaraderie, trainer accountability, and workouts for non-class days.

Healthy Youth – This group is exactly what it sounds like. I’ve created a place for young people to get together with their peers in a setting that is both challenging and fun. We will push each other into healthier habits, learn about fitness, and work hard to improve our lives. Geared toward 11-14 year-old youth, these training sessions will be based around mobility, stability, and coordination. (Side-effects may include more energy, better sleep, increased focus, better grades, higher self-esteem, and more.)
**Teen Fit – This group is exactly what it sounds like. I’ve created a place for young people to get together with their peers in a setting that is both challenging and fun. We will push each other into healthier habits, learn about fitness, and work hard to improve our lives. Geared toward 15-18 year-old youth, these training sessions will be based around coordination, strength, and sports fitness. (Side-effects may include more energy, better sleep, increased focus, better grades, higher self-esteem, and more.)
Endurance Performance – Runners, cyclists, and triathletes ask me all the time how I feel about strength training? Is it something they need to include in their training? My response is usually along the lines of, “Do you want to move faster, go further and be more efficient, or not?” The benefits of strength training for endurance athletes are numerous, including injury prevention, better movement economy, and increased leg speed, among many, many others. In this group, we will target exercises and muscle groups associated with endurance athletics. This is the group for people that want to take their training and performance to the next level!
**Glory Days – I hear it all the time from clients, “When I was in high school, I was in the best shape of my life.” “When I was in college…” “When I played [enter sport]…” We all love to sit around and reminisce about when we were in our prime. This group, however, is for the guys and gals that want to test their mettle and push themselves to not only relive those experiences but to even surpass them and create a new “best shape of my life” phase. We do a lot of conditioning, targeted strength, functional mobility, competitions, and more. Come out and relive your glory days with us!
**Fresh Start – Are you new to exercise? Or maybe you used to work out but now you are ready to start again? Let’s face it, we all know that we should be “working out” more, but figuring out where to start, what to do, and how to do it can be a daunting task. Gyms can be intimidating, and the vast amount of fitness information can be overwhelming. This group is perfect for anyone that is ready to begin their fitness journey in a fun, supportive, and structured environment. By focusing on proper form and technique, pertinent exercise selection, and tons of support, you will achieve a great workout and build your confidence, all while having a great time!
**Total “Buddy” Workout – Exercise is way more fun when you do it with friends, so bring a buddy (or come alone and I will pair you up) for a fun, full body workout. We’ll hit the legs, the arms, the chest and the back – along with a generous helping of core – to make sure that everyone gets a great workout. This class is designed to challenge participants, but in a positive, fun environment full of teamwork and camaraderie. When we press toward our goals together, everybody wins.
